The A-Z of Me

The A-Z of Me

I’ve been tagged by the beautiful Kat at Beau Twins for this one – hurrah, thanks Kat!  I loved reading her A-Z but I didn’t bargain for how hard it would be to write my own.  Normally I have no issues talking about myself :)

Here I go though for those who want to know a little bit more about me.  Here are the words that describe me through the letters of the alphabet – the A-Z of Me:

A – I’ve always been an Ambitious person and very dedicated and focused once I set myself a goal to achieve something.  Well, everything except fitness – this needs more work definitely!

B – My favourite band of all time are Bon Jovi – they were also the first concert I ever went to when I was a teen.

C – I’m a big Country music fan and listen to it pretty much all day long.  I’ve managed to convert Mr M but Miss M shows no interest so far – I’ll keep working on her.

D – I’d love to train as a Doula one day.  I had such a positive birth with my first baby after being terrified of childbirth for years and I’d love to be a support to other women.

E – I’d like to think I’m Entrepreneurial – I have always wanted to work for myself and have so many ideas of the kind of business I would like to run – bit by bit, I’m making this possible.

F – My Family mean everything to me.  I have a small but perfect family and love them dearly.

GGreys Anatomy is one of my all time favourite TV shows.  I’ve watched it religiously since Season 1 and I hope it never ends although inevitably it will :(

H – I’m a big advocate of Hypnobirthing and I highly recommend the practice to anyone who has a fear of childbirth.  I hypnobirthed my first baby and I’m hoping for a similar experience with baby #2!

I – I’m addicted to my iPhone – I know it’s wrong but I take it everywhere with me and it’s always on.

J – At our wedding, we had a Jenga game as well as a guest book and got our family and friends to write their best marriage advice on a block each.  Love it :)

K – I love Karaoke – I LOVE it!  I can’t hold a tune whatsoever, I could even be tone deaf but I just love it anyway.  It’s so therapeutic to sing your heart out.

L – One thing I miss from before I became a Mum is Lie Ins.  It’s a cliche I know but I just loved my sleep and even if my toddler did sleep in herself (ha ha, as if), I now wake up at 7am latest every day.  Oh how I miss those lazy weekend mornings waking up at 10am!

M – My little Ms!  Miss M is now 2 and is my absolutely sunshine and Mini M is on the way and will complete my perfect family.

N – I’d love to visit New York – but I want to do it properly and that means having money to spend!  So it might not be for a while :)  One day though.

O – I’m probably the most Organised person I know.  I particularly love spreadsheets – I’m a geek!

P – I wish I took better Photos and I wish I remembered to take more on nights out and events.

Q – I’m pretty Quick Witted – or so my friends tell me :)  This can be a good and a bad thing – I’m either funny or, ahem, rude!

R – My friends can Rely on me for anything – friendship is so important to me and I’d do anything for my nearest and dearest.  But if you cross me, you’re out.

S – I love England but I hate the cold – I’m a Sunshine loving girl and loved living in Australia because even on colder days, there was always more sunshine to cheer me up.

TTelly – I’m a bit of an addict and my other favourite all-time shows are Game of Thrones and Lost – although I was as disappointed with the ending of the latter as everyone else.

U – One of my favourite things about London is riding the Underground – it just makes me feel so much like a tourist on holiday – sad I know!

V – I was Bridesmaid at my best friend’s wedding in Vegas and it was awesome!  I’d love to go again with Mr M when the babies are older :)

W – My big goal after this last pregnancy is to get fit and healthy so W is for Weight loss.

X – One of the best places I’ve ever visited is Xi’an in China where I volunteered at an orphanage.  It was a wonderfully humbling experience and my visit to see the Terracotta Warriors is one of my best experiences ever.

Y – My guilty pleasure when I have a spare few minutes is watching YouTube videos – right now I’m addicted to pregnancy ones, for obvious reasons.  What YouTubers do you like watching?

Z – The only exercise I have ever truly loved doing is Zumba.  I LOVE it – it’s so much fun and you genuinely don’t feel like it’s exercise, despite it being exhausting.  I love to dance too.  I cannot dance.  I have no rhythm.  None.  It’s so unfair.

I really enjoyed doing this and I’d love to find out more about YOU so if you have a blog, please allow me to openly tag you :)

If you end up doing the post, tweet it to me so I can check it out.

Took me so long to read this as the mere mention of Bon Jovi got “Livin’ On A Prayer” stuck in my head! Love Game of Thrones (have you seen my Being a mum who loves GoT post?) and the end of Lost was one of the biggest disappointments in my life. There was so much promise….
Loved reading this – hope I get to meet you in real life at some point as I am sure we’d get on really well.

An insightful post; your X is especially touching, what an incredible experience. As for lie-ins; I wonder how many light years away that is for most mums. I’m looking forward to doing my tag of this soon. #TheList

I’m so interested in hypnobirthing! I never bothered with my first but I’m going to have to find some classes with my next as I’ve heard such good things. #sundaystars

      I’m glad it isn’t just me! :)

  13. 23rd April 2015 / 2:41 pm

This is a great meme, love it and enjoyed this insight into your life. How fab that you got to see your fave band as your first concert? And the wedding in Vegas sounds like a blast. That’s one of those places on my travel bucket list even though I’ve heard so many strange things about that place too! #brilliantblogposts

    • 23rd April 2015 / 3:57 pm

Thanks so much! I’d definitely love to go back to Vegas again one day :)

  14. 23rd April 2015 / 8:40 am

Loved the Jenga idea so much! It could be used for so many occasions too. Might be one worth considering for the next child’s 21st too. #BrilliantBlogPosts

Lovely to get to know a bit more about you. And wow you did a great job! I can imagine it would be quite hard to think of something for every letter!! You did especially well to get one for X. I have travelled around south western China and it was the most amazing part of the world I have ever seen!!!!

    • 23rd April 2015 / 3:56 pm

It took ages – a few days ha! Isn’t China wonderful? I’d love to go back one day and see more :)

  17. 22nd April 2015 / 9:54 am

I love the idea of Jenga for weddings, I would definitely do that if I had my time again. I am the opposite to you about the underground- I hate it. Always feel claustrophobic and look at everyone suspiciously! Great list, I struggled with mine too!

    • 23rd April 2015 / 3:55 pm

It was so much fun to read the messages afterwards! :)

  18. 21st April 2015 / 11:35 am

I always enjoy reading these posts and learning a bit more about bloggers :) I visited New York last summer for the first time and it is fabulous! And, I am also addicted to my iPhone… #AllAboutYou

    • 23rd April 2015 / 3:54 pm

Oh I’d love to go to New York one day – fingers crossed! Thanks :)
