21 Weeks Pregnant
Wow-wee 21 weeks pregnant! This pregnancy is definitely starting to speed up a bit now! I’m happy about that, and nervous, and happy.
This week seems to have flown by too, probably because Christmas is so close now and there’s so much to do.
I only have 1 more week at work until a 2 week Christmas break, hurray. I’m really looking forward to having some time off with my family and enjoying every second of Christmas – without a doubt, it’s my favourite time of year!
The good thing about the week flying by is that I haven’t really had time to dwell on my pregnancy fatigue, I’ve just had to get on with it. I am still very tired but nothing like the first trimester thankfully.
My reflux meds seem to be working well and apart from some round ligament pain, I have no complaints this week :)
I’ve also starting feeling more movement this week and I don’t think it will be long before Mr M can feel it from the outside. I’ve had some little kicks and movement and when I put my hand on my tummy I can occasionally feel it myself from the outside. I do have an anterior placenta so it might take a bit longer to feel from the outside more often, I had that with Miss M too.
This week I’ve been starting to think more about the birth and I’ll be making a decision soon on whether to plan a homebirth or continue with the midwife unit I’m booked into.
I’ve also been writing my labour and birth story from Miss M’s birth and I’m going to post that in the next couple of days so watch this space! It has really helped me get my thoughts together on what I hope for this time round. Well I basically want the same experience as it was so wonderful!
Hope you’re all enjoying your week and your Christmas planning is coming together and I’ll check back again next week!
