32 Weeks Pregnant – My Pregnancy Diary!

32 Weeks Pregnant

I’m 32 weeks pregnant!  It’s getting very very real now.  And by that, I mean I’m getting very very BIG!

In the last week I’ve been thinking a lot about how I haven’t been feeling prepared enough and I’ve been starting to panic a little bit about what’s to come.  I just hate the unknown – not knowing when the baby is coming, where I’ll be and how it’s all going to go down on the day.

So I’ve been trying to get more organised in an attempt to feel more in control and I started by writing a my second baby essentials list that I need to buy before the baby arrives.  Luckily, you don’t need quite as much second time around but there are still things to get sorted and I know that once I have these, my mind will feel much clearer.

I also took the chance to acknowledge my pregnancy fears and that also helped get them out of my head and stop worrying about them :)

I had my 31 weeks pregnant midwive apointment this week and it went well.  The baby’s fundal height measured at 30cms which is just fine.  I finally had the blood tests done I should have had done at 28 weeks – well done NHS.  So just waiting on the results of them now.

Symptoms-wise, the acid reflux is really starting to get me down – I know the end is nigh though and it won’t last forever!  It’s worse from about 2pm onwards, it’s almost like the 2nd ranitidine tablet I take doesn’t work in the afternoon and by bedtimes, it’s very uncomfortable.

On the subject of sleep…what’s that???  What with the crazy hormonal dreams, the acid reflux and the dead legs, I’m not getting too much rest but my husband is very kindly letting me lie in when he can so although it’s broken sleep, I’m getting as much as possible.  I even had a daytime nap today – unheard of!  I’ve got a cold too so feeling very sorry for myself.  Why kick a preggo while she’s already down?

I just can’t get my head around the fact that the baby is coming so soon – any time between 4 and 10 weeks now!  Miss M was premature so I suppose there is a chance that this one might come along early too but I’m happy for it to stay indoors a little longer – at least until I’ve checked off that To Buy list.  And had a bit more sleep!

I hope you’re all having a lovely week and Happy March!  Ooh, it’s Spring this month, now that IS something to be happy about!

Super exciting… brings me back to the final weeks of my wife’s pregnancies. Such an exciting time. I know it’s different for us men but I have so many great memories of getting prepared. Good luck, be blessed and take a deep breath. You got this!

Congrats! Oh 32 weeks is so close! Hopefully you will feel better and have time to enjoy the last few weeks. Hard to do with acid reflux and lack of sleep. Hopefully spring and the sunshine will help!

Oh it’s so nice to know I’m not alone. I too am stressed, just starting to get the heartburn and the pins and needles in my legs and bum suck!
Toby came 4 days late but I’m terrified this one is going to come early and we won’t be prepared, especially as we’re having a caesarean this time round. My dreams about it are getting worse!
Hurry up little babies.. you are SO worth it, but heck it’s hard work xx

Oh the heartburn – isn’t it awful! I have the same fear – not being prepared. I’ve started convincing myself that it’s going to come ridiculously early. We obviously need a spa break to relax :)
