Since my first baby, I’ve been a big fan of babywearing. I was delighted to do a BabyBjorn Carrier One Review to use with my second baby.

In the early days, baby-wearing meant I could have my babies close to me, knowing that they were safe and secure. It also gave me the freedom to be able to do other things with my free hands while I was carrying them – like the laundry! My babies were not great sleepers in the beginning but I found wearing them in a carrier sent them to sleep very easily and saved me pacing and rocking.
BabyBjorn Baby Carrier One Review
I loved to use my sling in the newborn months but my husband just couldn’t quite master it. It just wasn’t comfortable for him to use but he thinks the BabyBjorn Carrier One is so much easier.
A lot of friends had told me is was the best newborn carrier they used too.
You literally just fasten the waist strap, slip the carrier on over your head like a jumper, pop the baby in and fasten the buttons to the side at top!
The BabyBjorn Baby Carrier One for newborn babies up is an ergonomic baby carrier with a wide seat area. It’s also been acknowledged as a hip-healthy baby carrier by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute and this was so important to me.
The waistband easily clips into place and, as with all of the straps, can be adjusted both ways so easily to get baby in and out.
We both use this carrier so it was also essential to be able to adjust the straps easily as myself and my husband have different physical requirements.

How we use it
My baby boy has just turned one. For a while we’ve been wearing him facing us. As he’s gotten bigger, and nosier, we now wear him facing outwards too. We tend to wear him facing us when we know he’s getting sleepy, or it’s nap time. I like being able to check on him and see his face when he’s asleep. It will be fun when we change it to a forward facing baby carrier more!
The carrier is so comfortable. I have back issues so needed a carrier that is really supportive and isn’t going to aggravate my back ache.
One thing I love about this carrier is that it’s suitable for babies from Newborn to 3 years old (3.5-15kgs). Right now we use it as a baby front carrier but as Mini grows into a toddler, we will start to wear him on our backs instead as a toddler baby carrier. He’ll love that! This makes it the best baby carrier for us as we’ll get so much long term use out of it. For now, it’s a very comfortable and supportive front facing baby carrier.
Despite looking like a big carrier compared to my compact sling, it’s actually very lightweight too.
When I was doing this Baby Bjorn Carrier One review, the only small downside I found to it is that it’s quite bulky in size. I did like being able to roll up my sling and slot it into my changing bag. That said, if we’re out and about we are either wearing Mini in the sling or it easily fits in the basket under the stroller so the size isn’t a big deal. It does roll up to quite a neat size.
