The BabyBjorn Travel Cot Light

I’d ready so many great portable cot reviews and travel cot reviews and this always got great ones.

We hired a 4 bedroom house for the weekend at Rafferty’s Resort in Lake Macquarie with 2 other couples and their kids – it was a full house so we needed to plan for where the kids were going to sleep.

Last time we went away, Mini slept in his travel co-sleeper but at 13 month’s old, he’s far too big for this now.

We’re such big fans of the BabyBjorn range, using our BabyBjorn highchair daily and BabyBjorn One Carrier every week. We packed both of those too!

We opted for this portable travel crib in Black to match our other items and I was so excited when it arrived.

How to Assemble the BabyBjorn Travel Cot Light

This baby travel bed came in its own storage bag with handles so can be transported easily. It’s a very neat shape when packed away so easily fit into our car to travel. When not in use, it stands neatly in the side of my son’s wardrobe.

When we arrived at the holiday house, I put the travel cot up – it took me no longer than 60 seconds!

I took the folded cot out of the bag first, lay it on the floor and clicked the four legs into place.

I took the travel cot mattress out of the bag next, put on a clean fitted sheet, popped it into the travel cot and lay it flat.

Ta-da! That was literally all it took to set up. No buttons, hooks, extra pieces or loose parts. Very easy and quick.

Mini still sleeps in a sleeping bag but otherwise any standard cot duvet would fit fine.

The mattress is very soft and cushioned and he looked so snug and comfy in there. I also love that the sides are mesh. He can see us and we can see him when we’re lying in bed. By that, I mean I don’t need to get out of bed to check on him – bonus!

Why we love it

It’s a perfect cot for Mini and for my 3-year-old daughter too – it’s suitable from 0-3 year’s old. Miss had her own single bed at home but there’s so much room in this Baby Bjorn cot.

We took so much stuff with us for the weekend – packing for two kids takes ages! Along with the changing bag, we had three small suitcases, one bag of toys, a scooter and helmet and about four bags of food and drinks. At least this small travel cot was lightweight (only weighs 6kgs) and compact!

A light travel cot is essential for so many parents I know. Plus, if you’re looking for a travel cot with mattress included, this one has you covered. Although it isn’t a cheap travel cot, it has the cot, mattress and sheet included in the price.

We love the BabyBjorn Travel Cot Light and think it’s the best baby travel crib. I recommend it for parents who travel a lot with their babies or have others stay over. It’s the perfect lightweight cot to travel with or store away and bring out when someone with kids comes to stay.

It’s great as a toddler travel cot too as is comfortable with a lot of room for them.

Love how portable this looks and so stylish than other porta-cots. And would fit in our smallish boot when we have to travel! Definitely on my wish-list.

This looks fab, I wish we had of had something so compact & lightweight for when Archie was smaller. Ours was so heavy & bulky x
