I’ve been blogging for almost 4 years now and I thought it about time I shared some of my favourite Blogging Kit essentials!
These are a mix of gadgets, apps and websites – some that I’ve been using since day one and some are recent new ‘loves’.

Some links are affiliate links.
My Blogging Kit Essentials
WordPress
Let’s start with the most biggest essential of them all! I started out blogging on Blogger but quickly changed to WordPress. For me, the functionality and what it offers is just so much better. WordPress is very easy to learn and I find it so customisable to get my blog looking and operating exactly as I want it to.
My Pipdig Theme
I bought my first theme from Pipdig.co when I was still on Blogger but kept the same one when I moved to WordPress. All of Pipdig’s templates have both a Blogger and WordPress option.
I love how I can change my theme and customise it to make it perfect for me. As well as that, the support at Pipdig is amazing and they’ve helped me out with so many unrelated IT issues over the years. I can’t imagine every changing my template provider.
In fact, when I wanted a new template recently for a bit of a blog ‘face lift’, I just purchased another Pipdig one and in minutes, it was installed and ready for me to tinker with!
iPhone
I couldn’t be without my iPhone, blog-related or not! However, it’s an essential tool in every way whether it’s editing and publishing posts, taking and editing images, scheduling social media and checking stats. I’ll have to write another whole post about the different apps I use for all of these things – let me know if that’s something you’d be interested in.
Canon G7X Mark II Camera
This Canon G7X camera is still a fairly recently purchase but is becoming a fast favourite! I’ve been taking images and films on my iPhone since the beginning, which has been fine, but now I want to focus on improving the quality of them.
This year I’m determined to improve my images over all and this little beauty will help with that!
My Erin Condren Planner
Blogging aside, I don’t think I could survive life these days without this planner! I’m a busy mum of two kids as well as being a Blogger and marketer and so I need to stay super efficient and I’m always looking for ways on how to be more organised.
I love the process of writing down my plans every Sunday morning for the following week ahead. It’s therapeutic, helps me to stay relaxed and ensures that everything that needs to get done, does get done.
You can actually get $10US off a purchase from Erin Condren using my referral code here: https://www.erincondren.com/referral/invite/miriamjenkinson/1
GorillaPod Tripod
I use a small GorillaPod tripod and it’s perfect to use for filming videos or for taking images when I need a super steady hand. I love how the base can wrap around objects too like fences and chairs to get to hard to see angles.
I do need to invest in a full size tripod soon – I’d love to hear your suggestions if you have any.
Listium
I’m finishing with a brand new favourite I recently discovered, Listium. I’ve written a whole post about how fab Listium is (you can check it out here) and I’ve been enjoying using it as an editorial calendar. Whilst I love the editorial calendar in WordPress, Listium also has a mobile site and an app which means I can access it on-the-go.
As well as that, it has the ability for me share my lists with others and as I’m thinking about hiring a VA this year, that is going to be essential! Check out Listium here – if you love making lists of any kind, you will love it!
It probably goes without saying but my laptop and 1 million notebooks are also pretty essential too!

Linked to You Baby Me Mummy
Great post Mim, really useful for a newbie! I have a Miranda titan tripod (full size) which is great – really sturdy but also quite compact when collapsed (mine was also a bargain as I found it on a car boot sale!).
Great tips and equipment to use. x #linkylist
Ooh great list. I do love a planner. I’ve yet to upgrade to an actual camera which is something I’m going to look into over the coming months #TheListLinky
Thank you for a great and simple list! I will check out Lisium (love lists). I have used co-schedule calendar so far and it does the job but happy to try something new.
Oh signing up to listium, it sounds fab! thanks for sharing #TheListLinky

Thanks so much for sharing – it’s so interesting hearing how other bloggers do it. On my wishlist for this year is a decent camera – I’m still using my phone! #thelistlinky

I use my phone a lot too! x
I started on WordPress and self-hosted on the recommendation of my hubby and was glad I did. I too invested in the G7X last summer and it’s the only camera I use these days. I love it! I have a content planner but I’ve fallen behind in using it lately. I need to change that!

I’m still on Blogger and find it ok although I have to use Bloglovin to follow blogs as Blogger has shut down that side of the site.

I really should use bloglovin more too! x

Thank you for the tips! I’ve not been blogging long so I’m still learning all the time and any tips are appreciated! My want list is a new laptop (mine is old and had it!) and a proper camera! #TheListLinky

How amazing is pipdig! x
My essential is time to work by myself…otherwise, nothing gets done as nicely as I would like…I do a lot of work on my IPad, too, so that as an object is probably my number one essential! Thanks for the tips, Mim!

Oh I know – if I could have just 1 more hour in the day, what a difference it would make! x
