3 Christmas Beauty Set Ideas + a Giveaway! lovefromim.com Love from Mim Dermalogica Brightening Duo Set Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant Dermalogica Pre Cleanse Dermalogica Skincare Set Beauty Gift Set Christmas Beauty Gift Set Elemis Pro-Collagen Anti-ageing Night Time Collection Morocconoil Volume Pack

As you know, since my hair grew back after chemo, I’ve been really working hard to look after it and keep it in good condition.

When it was longer, it used to take ages to blow dry so I used to love using a little Moroccanoil on it when it was wet. I have no idea why but it dried much quicker then – my hair stylist had given me the tip but I’d never asked why it worked! It was also much smoother and shinier too.

3 Christmas Beauty Set Ideas + a Giveaway! lovefromim.com Love from Mim Dermalogica Brightening Duo Set Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant Dermalogica Pre Cleanse Dermalogica Skincare Set Beauty Gift Set Christmas Beauty Gift Set Elemis Pro-Collagen Anti-ageing Night Time Collection Morocconoil Volume Pack

This gorgeous Moroccanoil Volume Pack has my favourite Morooccanoil treatment in it but also some other gorgeous products from the line that I hadn’t tried before.

In the kit is:

  • Moroccanoil Extra Volume Shampoo 250ml and Moroccanoil Extra Volume Conditioner 250ml which contain antioxidant argan oil and nutrients to cleanse, detangle and bring back body to hair. The formula is free of sulfates, phosphates and parabens, so it is safer for the environment and won’t dry, fade or strip hair of color.
  • Moroccanoil Weightless Hydrating Mask 75ml – a 5-minute revival treatment which is ideal for fine hair and contains argan oil-rich formulas to deeply hydrate and condition while dramatically improving hair’s texture, elasticity, shine and manageability.
  • Moroccanoil Treatment Light 25ml which instantly absorbs into the hair, creating immediate shine and long term conditioning benefits with out leaving any sticky residue. This oil is a powerful antioxidant that protects, nourishes and strengthens hair. It softens thick unmanageable hair and restore shone and softness to dull lifeless hair, helps eliminate frizz, speeds up styling time and provides long-term conditioning to all hair types. It can be used as a conditioning, styling and finishing tool.

My hair has always been so fine and some hair products weighed it down instantly, even those that promised more volume. Morocconoil doesn’t and in fact makes it feel much lighter and fuller.

This next gorgeous gift from Elemis is pure indulgence and would be a lovely gift for a mum, partner, friend or a lovely treat for you!

My third favourite Christmas beauty set from the ry.com.au collection is this lovely one from Dermalogica.

3 Christmas Beauty Set Ideas + a Giveaway! lovefromim.com Love from Mim Dermalogica Brightening Duo Set Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant Dermalogica Pre Cleanse Dermalogica Skincare Set Beauty Gift Set Christmas Beauty Gift Set

The Dermalogica Brightening Duo set contains two of Dermalogica’s best selling products:

  • Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant 75g – an exfoliator that’s gentle enough for daily use in the shower but powerful enough to slough through dead skin cells to unearth a more bright, more clear complexion and make your skin glow.
  • Dermalogica Precleanse 150ml which is the first step of the Dermalogica Double Cleanse for your cleanest skin ever! Dermalogica have undertaken thorough research in their theory of double cleansing and have found that a single cleanse only removes superficial debris without actually removing all the dirt, grime and oil from the skin. Furthermore, Dermalogica have established that a water based cleanser will still leave oils behind. The most efficient way of removing oils from the skin is a lipid solution. This is where Pre Cleanse comes in – This light, plant-based cleansing oil effectively liquifies sebum without disturbing natural barrier lipids. These oils then emulsify when you add water to encapsulate and remove the trapped debris, allowing the recommended Dermalogica Cleanser to penetrate even further. Nourishing Oilve, Apricot and Kukui Nut oils cut through make-up, sunscreens and oil-based debris, readying them for easy removal. Formulated without artificial fragrances and colours.

This gorgeous set promises to leave your skin bright and clear – and what a lovely way to start the new year for anyone who receives this as a Christmas gift!

I hope you’ve enjoyed finding out more about my Christmas beauty set ideas from ry.com.au!

My best tip is to find the right cleanser…I spent many years using a cleanser for acne prone skin because I thought it would prevent breakouts but all I got was super dry skin from the Salicylic acid and I always use a moisturiser with SPF!

It always pays off, no aging skin despair,
    My best advice?… “SPF50 – MUST WEAR!!!”

  25. Natalie
    22nd November 2016 / 11:35 pm

Microdermabrasion. Fancy word but simple stuff. It’s been around for years because it works! Go to a skincare salon that specialises in this and you won’t regret it. It resurfaces your skin gently removing pigmentation and smoothing fine lines. Skin is smoother, plumper and more youthful. Second best tip is to use a serum. One extra step in the beauty routine makes a huge difference. Concentrated ingredients sink right into freshly cleansed skin. I love using a Vitamin B serum in the morning and Vitamin A or C in the evening.

    22nd November 2016 / 10:32 pm

  29. Jenny Watson

It took me years to realise that if I take the time to brush my teeth every night no matter how tired I am, then I can take the time to properly wash my face and moisturise. It only takes 2 mins to look after yourself, and as the ads say, I’m worth it.

  30. Gwendolyn J

As much as it’s tempting to stand under a long, hot shower when it’s cold outside, resist the urge. The hot water will begin to compromise your skin’s lipid layer that holds in precious moisture. Turn down the heat or shorten your shower time, and moisturise straight after the shower while your skin is still damp, using a cream that creates a barrier to stop moisture from evaporating. Also apply a creamy-based mask once a week as a moisture booster.

  39. Netta
    18th November 2016 / 10:36 pm

Use retinol products at least three times a week. It helps increase cell turnover, therefore leaving your skin soft and smooth and making lines and wrinkles less noticeable. It also helps with evening out my skin tone, fading pigmentation, minimising the size of my pores as well as clearing up my blemishes! It’s an all in one skin saviour

  40. Ellie
    18th November 2016 / 10:17 pm

We all focus on our face but most of us tend to neglect our neck and décolletage! It’s important to moisturise and use SPF on those areas as well, as they are prone to sagging, forming wrinkles and sunspots. They’ll show your true age so take good care of it!

  41. May
    18th November 2016 / 9:55 pm

My best skincare tip would be to eat healthy! You could use the most expensive skincare products in the world but if you do not nourish your body from the inside, your skin will not be at its best. Eat good fats (avocado, walnuts, olive oil, fresh salmon) avoid refined carbs and sugar and reduce your intake of alcohol as they can dry out the skin, cause inflammation and create breakouts.

My best tip is to keep hydrated inside and out. Inside by drinking plenty of water and outside by moisturising and getting the kids to moisturise my back. This also allows for a sneaky massage as the kids find it fun

My best tip for taking care of your skin is to research! Sometimes you’ll read suggestions from other people who rave about something but you need to research to see if it is actually a good thing for your skin. It’s the same with skin products. Read reviews and then give it a try.
