Budget Friendly Gift Ideas for Father’s Day

How about:

1. Something super fun

Is your husband or dad a big kid too? Mine definitely is!

Micro Scooters have an awesome range of adult scooters. The kids don’t have to have all of the fun! Now parents can hop on board their own board and scoot alongside the littles!

An Adult Micro Scooter!

Scooting together is a great way to spend time together as a family, in the fresh air. Of course there’s nothing to stop him (or her) from scooting on kid-free occasions too! You can find out more about the range here.

Buy a Micro Scooter online here in Australia and here worldwide.

2. Something lucky

How cute is this idea from Your Kids OT? They have free printable scratchie cards for you to download and print off.

Fathers Day Scratchie Cards - Love from Mim

As well as being a cute and personal gift for your kids to create, it also gives them a chance to practice writing their name too. Dads and Grandads will love this!

3. Something delicious Bockers & Pony

If you’re a regular reader you will know how much I love the Bocker’s & Pony range!

Their Sapporo Beer Hamper is perfect for lager-loving dads of all (legal!) ages. In fact, both my Dad and husband would love this one – I wonder if I can persuade them to share it?

4. Something practical

No offence Mr M but you are MESSY – well your car is anyway! To be fair to him, he is a tradie so it goes with the territory mostly.

He has been banging on about wanting to grab a hand held vacuum for a while though. He just hasn’t gotten around to getting one.

Hoover 12V Car Handvac - Love from Mim
The Hoover 12V Car Handvac would make a practical gift idea!

So, it may not feature highly on the romantic gift scale but I know he would be over the moon to actually get one. This Hoover 12V Car Handvac would do the job nicely plus it’s only $29. Who says romance is dead!

You can check out more Father’s Day gift ideas here and you can see some more of the Godfreys range here.

You can buy a Hoover 12V Handvac online here in Australia and here worldwide.

5. Something cute!

If your kids are into crafting and you want to create something quick and fun, try a Fortune Teller Paper Craft!

Kate at Australian Mum has you covered with this quick-to-create craft.

She lists how to do it step by step and this will delight kids and dads alike!

6. Something to pamper him

My hubs isn’t much of a preener but, as he’s getting older, he’s starting to take better care of his skin.

He loves the Milkman Grooming Co range already and I’ll be treating him to their Milkman Grooming Co Spring Rider After Shave Serum. This acts as both a hydrating moisturiser and an alcohol-free after shave. It contains witch hazel, aloe vera and allantoin to soothe as well as hyaluronic acid, kakadu plum extract, beta glucan plus vitamins E and B5.

It will help to keep his skin from drying out after shaving. Especially perfect for this changeable weather we’re having too!

7. Something sexy!

Ok whilst I wouldn’t mind an appearance from the man himself, the David Beckham Respect Aftershave will more than compensate!

David Beckham Respect - Love from Mim
David Beckham Respect Fragrance

This brand new fragrance for men by David Beckham is divine. Built upon the woody earthiness of vetiver and extracted from the roots of the tropical grass, vetiver oil. It is a beautiful, vibrant scent and I love it.

It’s ok though Mr M, I’d choose you over David Beckham any day…! You know, if you clean up that car.

You can David Beckham Respect online here in Australia and here worldwide.

8. Something cuddly

Other than an actual cuddle of course!

You might have recently read my post on the Ergoflex Memory Foam Pillow. This new Ergoflex™ pillow delivers ergonomic posture support for the head and neck. It has a fully molded core of ‘Soft Touch’ ACPT (TM) Visco-Elastic Memory Foam and contained in a soft-touch cover.

As an insomniac, I know the difference a good or bad night’s sleep makes. Add to that the sleepless nights with kids!

Time is something to be treasured.
When you are young, you want to be older.
When you are older, you want to be younger.
Time sometimes appears to pass by ever so slowly.
And on other occasions, so so fast.

It is something that generally costs nothing
but it is the best thing you can give someone.

It’s up to you how and what you do with it.
But after you’ve given some time to someone else
    it never goes unnoticed.

I would love to win the scooters so Dad and son can share
the best gift in the world together

with I am sure a lot of giggles along the way x

  10. Faye

To try not to react with anger when things don’t go as planned. I think there’s just far too much over reaction in this world over things that ultimately are small potatoes, can be talked through and gotten over much quicker. Everybody seems to think they’re right without actually respectfully listening to the other side of the story! We would love the Bockers and Pony hamper please.

To enjoy themselves. They’re kids yet they want to grow up so quickly. Teach them to enjoy their freedom and make their childhood last as long as you can. The Hoover 12V Car Handvac would make a practical addition to our home.

  20. Charlotte
    / 1:18 pm

To not give up if you want to achieve your goal. It’s too easy for kids just to give up on things, they need help and guidance to show that their perseverance will pay off in the long run. Would love the Adult Micro Scooter so I can join my girls on theirs.

  21. Ryan
    / 1:09 pm

Respect. Without it you get nowhere in this world. See too many kids get away with murder and act so poorly when out in public or at other peoples homes. If a child has respect they will grow up to be a far better person. I would love the Hoover 12V Car Handvac .

  22. Toni C

It may sound like an odd choice but I hope that I can teach my daughter not to underestimate the role of randomness in life, in her life, in everyone’s life. I hope she will learn to be patient, compassionate and tolerant and to do the best she can.

Another best lesson that parents can impart to their children is to be respectful. We don’t always understand everyone else or their stories or their lives but we can always show respect to others. The same goes for showing respect towards the environment or places. I abhor seeing graffiti or litter and wish people had more respect for our planet.

This lesson is so hard to teach, but my goodness, it’d be wonderful if everyone could show respect to others.

I would love the Bockers & Pony hamper for my husband. He taught English in Japan before we met in Korea. I’m sure he would love the Sapporo beer.

  25. Paula H

Thank you.

  28. Alex

Most important is manners and respect for other people. It’s also good to teach children to try their best. They will be good at some things and not others and that’s okay. We are all different and have different abilities.

Would love the pillow or hamper. Thanks for the chance.

I believe one of the most important lessons you can teach your child is how to be empathetic. With empathy comes kindness, respect and understanding- three characteristics I hope to instill in my children.

And we would love to win the Ergoflex Memory Foam Pillow! Thank-you so much!

  39. May
    / 7:46 pm

I think one of the best things a parent can teach their child is self love and self acceptance. I’m not talking about teaching your child to be narcisstic. I’m talking about loving yourself so that you take care of yourself and respect yourself.

I’d love to win the Ergoflex pillow for my husband. He would love it.

  40. Natalie Hollis
    / 7:46 pm

    What a lovely giveaway!
I think a great thing we can teach our children is quite simply to be kind towards, and accepting of others, without judgement. It is a lot easier said than done.
I would be happy to win any of the prizes, thank you for the opportunity.
