What are free Printable Planner Stickers
I’m so excited to share more about printable planner stickers as I use them myself every week!
When you buy or download free printable stickers for planners, you’ll be downloading digital files images that can be printed out at home. They can be cut with scissors or a craft knife or with a cutting machine such as a Silhouette or Cricut.
This is different to printed stickers that you can buy from Etsy etc that are posted to you.
The printable planner sticker files you’ll need can include PDF, PNG, SVG or cut files for a cutting machine. You’ll pick the file type you need and then print the stickers on your home printer.
Printable planner stickers can be used in your planner, journal or scrapbook to decorate, organize, mark important dates, schedule appointments and to-do items and more.
You can either design them yourself (I teach that in this sticker making course) or you can get them online. I’m sharing a lot below!
When you choose free printable planner stickers, make sure they’re going to fit in your specific planner as they often cannot be resized. My stickers fit popular planners like the Erin Condren Life Planner, Classic Happy Planner, Passion Planner and many are universal and fit all planners.

First off, using planner stickers that you can print at home can be super cost-effective. You can find thousands of sticker designs online for free and print them at home using your home printer. I share my best printer for stickers here.
You don’t need to spend a lot of money on expensive stickers from other shops when you can create your own at home for free!

Choosing the best sticker paper for planner stickers can be a challenge but one that’s easily fixed! There are so many different types of sticker paper available on the market right now for you to choose from but which one is best for your needs?
What is Sticker Paper?
Sticker paper is a type of paper that has an adhesive backing and you’ll want to choose paper in Letter or A4 size. As it has a sticky backing, this means you can easily peel your stickers off it.
Types of Sticker Paper for Planner Stickers
The different sticker paper types you can choose from each have their own pros and cons. These are the most popular types of sticker paper for printing printable stickers:
Matte
This kind of sticker paper has a flat, non-glossy finish and is my go-to for planner stickers as most pens can write easily on it. It also has a lovely natural look.
Glossy
Glossy sticker paper has more of a shiny finish and is perfect for printing high-quality stickers, especially those with bright and bright colors and graphics. Or photo stickers!
Clear
Clear sticker paper has a transparent finish and can look beautiful in a planner as it allows the sticker designs to blend seamlessly the planner pages. It’s also the best sticker paper for creating invisible stickers or for use on planner pages where a white background would be distracting.
Vinyl
Vinyl sticker paper is much more durable and also waterproof – which could be important for you if you want to ensure your planner pages and stickers stay put and in tip top condition.
How to Choose the Best Sticker Paper for Printable Planner Stickers
When you’re choosing sticker paper for your personal printable planner stickers, make sure to check:
Compatibility with your printer
Not all sticker paper and printers are compatible so get a few test sheets to check this first before investing in a big paper purchase.
Your sticker designs
Will your stickers be subtle and natural? Or bold and bright? What kind of sticker paper will realy make them pop, based on their design?
How you’ll use your planner stickers
Will your planner stay safe and warm indoors? Or will you carry it around with you? Will it be exposed to the elements and what paper will be the most durable for your needs?

Printable Sticker Mistakes to Avoid
Here are some mistakes that I want you to avoid when using printable stickers for the first time:
1. Don’t print the wrong size
Check my print and cut instructions that come with the stickers to ensure you check the dimensions and adjust your printer settings accordingly to ensure that the stickers will print correctly and fit properly in your planner.
2. Don’t use the wrong sticker paper
Make sure to use the right type of sticker paper – you can pick from matte, glossy, vinyl or other types depending on your preference.
Also, ensure the sticker paper you choose is compatible with your printer and cutting machine prior to buying a large quantity of it.
3. Don’t overload your planner at first
It’s easy to get carried away with you’re decorating with stickers for the first time!
Less is more in the early days and make sure to leave enough space so you can still write your plans and use your planner functionally.
