Delicious and Healthy Bircher Muesli Recipe

This Healthy Bircher Muesli Recipe is brought to you by Weight Watchers.

A few weeks ago I tried a yummy bircher muesli recipe for the first time and I’ve been hooked since then. It was at The World’s Biggest Degustation and was delicious!

Delicious and Healthy Bircher Muesli - Love from Mim

I’ve just never really gotten into porridge, despite loving oats. Even when I add something crunchy to it like chopped nuts, it’s just too mushy for me. Now I realise it’s because of it being warm so bircher muesli is perfect for me for a healthy breakfast idea.

This is such a simple recipe, with only a handful of ingredients. Better yet, you can make a full batch that will last all week.

It includes only ingredients from the Weight Watchers No Count option too. If you haven’t heard of this, it’s probably the simplest eating plan going.

Weight Watchers No Count is a simple and effective way of losing weight and improving health without having to count any points. There is an extensive and carefully chosen list of foods that you can eat freely from. You can find more information about the plan here.

My healthy bircher muesli recipe includes just a few of the ingredients on the No Count foods list. It’s a nutritious and satisfying breakfast meal and I’ve been eating it every day – it’s that yummy. I just change up the fruit for variety.

But now back to the Healthy Bircher Muesli Recipe!

You will need:

  • a cup of Rolled Oats
  • a cup of Water
  • one grated Apple
  • ½ teaspoon Cinnamon
  • ½ cup Blueberries
  • 1.5 tablespoons Greek-style no-fat Natural Yogurt

  1.    Add water to rolled oats in a container and soak overnight.
  2.    The next day, mix all ingredients together and top with cinnamon.
  3.    Enjoy!

I mean, how simple is that?

Plus, the batch above lasts me 3-4 meals so I only have to make it once and it’s done. You can double the amounts to make a bigger batch of course.

Bircher muesli is so delicious and I much prefer it to warm porridge.

If you want to add some crunch, you could also add in some mixed nuts or seeds.

I hoped you liked my easy Bircher Muesli recipe! What are your favourite healthy breakfast recipes?
