“Healthy Travel Snacks for Babies and Toddlers” is sponsored by Organix.
Since the birth of my first baby, I feel like so much of our time has been spent in cars, on public transport and flying. We’re out and about so much and it’s so important that I take healthy travel snacks with us.
It’s a bit of a military operation to get the changing bag packed and ready sometimes and one thing that is essential is including some healthy baby snacks in there for the kids. It means that if we’re on the go or between meals, there’s always something quick I can grab for them to keep them going.
Here are some of our favourite healthy travel snacks for babies and toddlers:
Healthy Travel Snacks for Babies & Toddlers
1. Fruit and Vegetables
Chopped up carrot, celery or cucumber sticks are perfect for all of the family. I’ve been giving them to my kids since they started solids at 6 months old.
I always have a container full of chopped veggies in the fridge so just grab some from there and pop them into an airtight container and into the changing bag before we head out on a trip. For fruit, I’ll either do the same with berries or take a piece of fruit like an apple, orange or banana and chop it up while we’re out. Easy!
2. Corn Puffs
Both of my kids love Organix corn puffs and their favourites are the Carrot Stix. Mine are the Saucy Tomato Noughts and Crosses ha ha!

The puffs are baked, not fried, and they’re flavoured with vegetables or cheese. They’re also only $2 per packet and one packet lasts ages with my kids, I just roll it up after they’re munched on a few to save the rest for later.
3. Raisins or Sultanas
Raisins and sultanas are such awesome and easy snacks to take on the go. We have a big box of them in in the cupboard and grab a handful to take out with us in an airtight bag or box.
Small boxes are also available at the supermarket so if you’re passing one, you can pick up some snack size boxes when you’re out and about.
4. Fruit Purees
Purees are lovely for babies from 6 months’ old who are starting solid foods. Whilst we did Baby Led Weaning with our two kids, I found purees really handy for when we were travelling or to have as a dessert after a meal.
The Organix Fruit Pots come in two yummy flavours, Mashed Apple and Mango and Apple and Raspberry.
With 100% organic fruit, each pot is one of the kids 5 a day serving.
5. Biscuits
*** AUSTRALIAN MARKET FOOD RECALL ***
Our range of Organix Finger Foods baby biscuits are being recalled from the market in Australia due to local regulatory concerns that the biscuits can crumble into pieces which may pose a potential choking hazard. We advise anyone who has purchased them from Coles, Woolworths and some health food stores in Australia to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
For further information please contact our consumer care team on 001144 1202 586133 or email consumer.care@organix.com. Our office hours are 9am to 5pm GMT Monday to Friday.
See www.foodstandards.gov.au/recalls for Australian food recall information.

Healthy baby biscuits are a great little snack for in between meals and you’re out and about or at home. We love the Baby Biscuits and Farm Biscuits from Organix.
The Baby Biscuits come in Vanilla, Strawberry and Banana flavours and their ring shape makes it super easy for tiny hands to hold them.
I’ve lost track of the time that the kids have been bored during a long trip and a biscuit has kept them going and stopped the looming tantrum in its tracks! I don’t feel at all guilty about treating them to one of these organic, no junk biscuits either because they have all natural ingredients and taste really great. (I know because I eat them too!).
You can grab your own healthy travel snacks, including those from the Organix range, at Woolworths and Coles.

What are your healthy travel snacks for babies ideas?
me and my toddler both loves banana..yummy
Chopped Up Pineapple, sweet and good for the little ones
Bananas because they are so easy to take and eat anywhere. Plus, they keep the kids full for a long time.
I do a mixed container of mini rice wheels, sultanas and homemade dried mango and bananas.
My favourite travel snacks for my 3 year old are blueberries because they are one of the few things he will eat. My 11 month old absolutely loves pureed fruit with quick oats. A banana is really convenient too as it is quick and easy to mash up in a bowl.
Fresh fruit, apple preferably, bananas tend to get too messy :)
any of the oven baked bars: quick, easy, no-fuss.
Apples and nut butter – they love to dip them and lip the peanut butter off before chowing down on sweet, juicy apple slices!
Grapes as they are healthy, easy for my little one to feed herself and they don’t stain or make a big mess when they inevitably end up on the floor!
Organix Baby and Toddler snax I have not tried would be the perfect snack traveling. This cannot be denied, but otherwise fruit is wise.
WE love Banana’s, home grown berries or a yoggie pouch
I’m a Mum-to-be so can’t say what it is now but I’d say anything that keeps them quiet and happy and isn’t too messy is a perfect snack!
Dried fruits and rice crackers are my favourite travel snacks as they don’t need to be kept refrigerated.
Puree of veg and fruit!
I like bananas, crackers, and cucumbers for travel snacks.
Smashed avo because it’s not just for grown ups!
Baby Man Man rice fingers! We like vegetable flavour. No mess, easy to hold and a lovely crunch!
my homemade coconut yogurt. Throw some frozen mango or blueberries in, and it stays cold and adds some flavour!
Frozen grapes always go down well
I love yoghurt pouches! It’s easy to grab as you are going out the door and it’s low mess and no preparation required!
Coconut yogurt to dip finger foods into – yum for everyone!
Fresh fruit, like grapes! My kids LOVE grapes!
My bubs like the Little Bellies puffs…and I secretly love the Little Quackers Strawberry Rice Crackers ????????
Bananas, makes for a great on the run snack that mum and bubs can share, like sharing an ice cream but healthy and delicious!
Small bags of sultanas, rice crackers & chocolate (just for me)
small bits of apple and banana!
fresh fruit is our favourite toddler snack treat
its sweet, healthy and fun to eat
Banana, easy to travel with and eat. Its also delicious.
