MooGoo is a range of skin care that my whole family has used for a few years now and here is my MooGoo Sunscreen review.
I was looking for a sunscreen that the whole family could use but that was still gentle enough on my kid’s skin too.
MooGoo Natural Sunscreen SPF 40 Review
We’ve tried out a few sunscreens and are always on the lookout for the best natural sunscreen kids and the whole family can use. That way, when we go out for the day or on holiday, it saves taking multiple sunscreens.

About MooGoo
MooGoo has a wide range of skin care solutions for the family that is gentle and natural.
The range has been ethically tested – they never test on animals and they don’t export to countries who do. They’re Australian made and the favourite range of so many of my friends too.
Moo Goo Sunscreen review
MooGoo Sunscreen Ingredients:
It has zinc oxide 24.96% w/w as its active ingredient – I’d seen it previously rated in a list of the recommendations for zinc sunscreen Australia has.
Features and benefits:
- It rubs in clear
- No chemical UV filters
- For Children and Adults
- Broad Spectrum
What is a zinc sunscreen?
The zinc in this sunscreen is naturally derived and, as MooGoo says, it “acts like a reflective umbrella on the skin”. Find out more about zinc here.

What we move about MooGoo Natural Sunscreen Lotion
Unlike some other sunscreens I’ve tried, this one really does rub in clear and doesn’t leave white marks or an ‘ashy’ look on my skin. Any whiteness left when you apply it disappears quite quickly.
We’re trying to minimise the number of harmful chemicals by being more selective when choosing products and this definitely fits the bill for that.
The sunscreen smells good and isn’t sticky – meaning the kids don’t freak out when I put it on them because that IS a thing in this house.
My children are aged two and five but if you have a baby, this is a great MooGoo baby sunscreen too as it’s so gentle.
MooGoo Sunscreen Review Conclusion
This is definitely one of the best natural sunscreen for kids we’ve tried. I’ve mentioned before in posts that he’s had eczema since he was a baby and I’m so conscious now about introducing new products to his skin.
My son and I both have sensitive skin and neither of us has reacted to it, so we’ll continue to use it.
I also love that we can all use the same product as it means taking only one in my handbag when we go out.
If you’re looking for the best sunscreen for babies Australia has, I definitely recommend you try out this one!
