We all have To Do lists of some kind, don’t we?
The stuff we need to do for home, work, life. But what about the things we shouldn’t, or no longer want to waste time on. Well here’s my To Don’t List.
The older I get, the surer I am of the things I don’t want in my life. Are you the same?
Also, I’d love to know if you have your own to add!
I’ll try not to make my To Don’t List too preachy (although that isn’t easy!):
My Anti-To Do List
Don’t make big decisions after lunch – I learned that one at a conference recently. Basically, as the day goes on and you get more tired, your decision-making ability turns bad.
Don’t play games. Say what you want. And what you don’t want. Life is too short. Don’t waste other people’s time.
Don’t leave the house without a pen. Because it doesn’t matter how much you haven’t got your life together, if someone asks for a pen and you have one, you’ve won at life that day.
Don’t waste time and energy on undeserving people. Save it for those who count.
Don’t lie – just be honest. Except sometimes if it’s to your toddler, and I know it’s wrong but sometimes it’s about survival, ok?
Don’t eat yellow snow.
Don’t be a dick – there are too many about. Don’t add to them.
Don’t neglect your health. If you have any concerns, see your GP.
Don’t wear shoes that are too small for you.
Don’t think that the world owes you anything. It doesn’t.
Don’t ever eat a banana near me – not unless you want me to vomit on you. Your choice.
Don’t always put yourself last – your family needs you. You’re amazing and deserving of happiness.
And that concludes my current To-Don’t List – although I can imagine after hitting publish I’ll think of a billion more to add to it!
And make sure to check out Ness’ list here – and subscribe to her as she is one of the funniest and loveliest people on this planet.
If you write your own To-Don’t List, let me know :)
