It’s been a while since I did a post like this one but I’m feeling very grateful and lucky lately! Here are the things I loved in May:
Things I loved in May
1. Getting the 18 month all clear
I had an appointment with my Oncologist and all is still looking good – just another reason to celebrate!
2. Decorating our new house
We moved into the new house in mid April, which seems like such a long time ago now.
We’ve already started to decorate with a bathroom renovation (more pics to come) and adding new furniture and decoration to a few of the rooms.
3. Being featured on the ANZ website
ANZ covered the story of my breast cancer on their website here.
The series talks about women who have managed a difficult financial situation and I feel so privileged to be a part of it.
4. A photo shoot!
Those of you who have a followed my blog for a while will know how I’ve struggled with how I look after treatment. My hair is finally a-growing and despite having put a lot of weight on during chemo, I had a little photo shoot with a friend.
I’m so happy with how the photos turned out and so grateful for Charlotte at Love Lottie Photography. She really listened to what I wanted from the shoot and, knowing my confidence has been affected, gave me a real boost with the pictures she did!
You can see more of the photos here.
5. A surprise goody bag of scrummy food!
Menulog kindly sent us a lovely goody bag full of treats from a local Newcastle restaurant, Oma’s Kitchen. It’s a German cafe in the city that I’d heard so many good things about!
The goodies included the most delicious biscuits – here are just a few of them.
I love discovering new restaurants, especially as we just moved house. I use Menulog to find which places deliver to us and read reviews of other customers so we can suss out which to try.
May was mostly spent eating biscuits :)
What did you love from last month?
