Updating my Winter Wardrobe with Rockmans
Winter is finally upon us in Australia and we’ve had a few days of being genuinely cold! Updating my winter wardrobe moved to the top of my To Do list when the temperature went below 20 degrees.
My UK friends will laugh at that – 19 degrees in England can be the best some summers get to! I’ve acclimatized here though and it’s definitely started to get quite cold, especially in the evening.
When I came back to Australia from the UK, I left a lot of my bulky winter items there as it would have been too expensive to bring them over here. So I was delighted when Rockmans got in touch to see if I wanted to update my winter wardrobe with a few pieces from their website.
Rockmans have sourced the globe for the latest trends to deliver to Australian women.
For a bit of inspiration, the first thing I did was hop on to Pinterest and scroll through some winter outfit ideas for what I might like to add to my wardrobe this season.
I saw a trend in all-black outfits – which delighted me because I tend to mainly wear black in the cooler months. I loved the look of these chunky knit black jumpers so hopped on to the Rockmans website to see if they had anything similar.
They did! In fact they have a really wide range of affordable pieces for winter. I spotted this lovely Table Eight Ink coloured Carly roll neck jumper paired with black leggings and black ankle boots. Straight into my cart!
I wasn’t quite sure how the Ink and Black colours would work together but actually, it looks pretty good. Here I have paired the outfit with tall brown boots for a bit of a contrast in colours.
Next on Pinterest I found this picture of a lovely outfit combination – a tan cardigan and plum skinny jeans.
After a quick search on the Rockmans site, I found this fabulous long sleeve belted cardigan that I knew would be great for seeing me all through winter. There were quite a few colour options too.
It often doesn’t get cold enough for a coat but in the evening, it’s good to have a cardigan to throw on. I opted for this in Biscotti because I think it will go with so many of my other pieces.
Below I’ve paired it with these great full length high waist jeggings in Bordeaux. They’re super stretchy and very comfortable to wear. I feel these can be dressed up and down so great for the weekend with a slouchy t-shirt and pumps or some heeled boots and pretty top for a night out.
Here I’ve teamed the long cardigan and skinny jeans together with some slouchy ankle boots and a white t-shirt.
What do you think of my choices? I did pick up some more fantastic pieces and will be posting those over on Instagram in the coming weeks so if you’re not following me already, do so now!
And do you think I’m the most awkward model ever? I think we all know the answer to that!
What are your wardrobe staples for winter?
