Wertheim SE2000 Deep Clean Carpet Shampooer Review

It’s been a busy week as we have finally moved into our forever home! It’s excited and chaotic but we’re slowly starting to get settled.

It was good timing that we teamed up with Godfreys for this Wertheim SE2000 Deep Cleaning Carpet Shampooer review – it’s been well tested in the past few days!

The house was tenanted previously and although it isn’t in bad condition, the carpets did need a good clean. (Not that my kids will let it stay clean for long).

Sponsored by Godfreys – all opinions are my own. Affiliate links below.

The Wertheim SE2000 Deep Clean Carpet Shampooer

Wertheim SE2000 Carpet Shampooer Key Information

This compact and cheap Wertheim Extractor carpet shampooer is easy to use. It comes almost fully assembled with just the handle to clip on the top.

How to use the Wertheim SE200 Deep Cleaning Carpet Shampooer

To use it, you’ll need the machine plus a bottle of the cleaning solution – both are exclusive to Godfreys.

After filling up the tank with warm water and the correct amount of cleaning solution, I plugged it in and found my first stain to tackle!

Wertheim SE2000 Deep Clean Carpet Shampooer Review

On the day we moved in, my daughter spilled her orange juice on the carpet in her room and it had dried before I had the chance to mop it up. I’d had a go at sponging it off but it had left these blotches behind that I couldn’t shift.

The images are a little dark as I closed the blinds in her room to take them as the sunlight made it hard to see otherwise. I haven’t retouched any of my photographs to give you a really honest review of how this worked…or didn’t!

After turning it on, I then used the trigger on the handle and ran the carpet shampooer over the stain once to release the cleaning solution.

Wertheim SE2000 Deep Clean Carpet Shampooer Review

Then releasing the trigger, I pulled the machine back over the stain and it sucked up the stain and the water, almost in one go! There’s a brush underneath too to really work at the stain and brush the carpet fibres.

For good measure, I ran over it again and it sucked up the rest of the moisture too, leaving an almost dry carpet.

You can see for yourself that the stain completely disappeared!

Wertheim SE2000 Deep Clean Carpet Shampooer Review

Eventually, the carpets in this house will be replaced but we just don’t have the funds to do that any time soon. So I feel reassured that I can get to work on cleaning up the ones we already have and improve the appearance of the house now.

My Opinion on this Carpet Shampooer

Pros

  • Really simple instructions, easy to use machine
  • Sucks up moisture after cleaning so no waiting hours/days for the carpet to dry
  • Wall to wall cleaning capability – so edges of carpets can be cleaned easily too
  • It’s inexpensive and far less that it would be to hire a machine or call in the professional cleaners
  • It’s a lightweight carpet cleaner that I easily managed.
  • A comprehensive Wertheim SE2000 manual is included but I didn’t need to use it much for this Godfreys carpet shampooer review.

Cons

  • The cost of the Wertheim cleaning solution is $39 which at first put me off. That’s nearly half the price of the actual machine. However, only a tiny amount is needed for each use so it will last a very long time.
  • Whilst the carpet shampooer is compact, it’s about the size of a vacuum cleaner so bear that in mind if your house is tight on storage.

The Wertheim SE2000 Deep Clean Carpet Shampooer is a good quality and easy to use machine. Given that I have two small (and very messy) kids, it gives me peace of mind too. The Wertheim SE2000 instruction manual was easy to understand.

BUY NOW! You can grab your own Wertheim Carpet Shampooer here at Godfreys.

We had Harvey Norman vacuum cleaners previously but love this one. We’ll be after a Wertheim Vacuum Cleaner next!

I’d love a HOOVER MAG AIR PURIFIER as the dirt in the air is amazing. I see it when the sun streams in through the windows. Would be really nice to have my bedroom Air Purified by a HOOVER MAG AIR PURIFIER I buy from GODFREYS>

I’d love the Hoover Dual Steam Plus Steam Mop, that way I would have clean floors as well as carpets! My hubby picked white shiny tiles for our kitchen, they look lovely but are a nightmare to clean and I always end up on my hands and knees scrubbing and drying them with a cloth so they don’t look all streaky!

The Vorwerk Kobold VR200 Robot Vacuum because my toddlers are constantly dropping food all over the house and it needs vacuuming daily. This would save me from having to worry about unexpected visitors dropping in or unsightly marks on my kids clothes after they’ve sat on something that’s previously dropped from their mouth. A clean floor would make me feel like the house was clean

I would love the Hoover Heritage 5630 Steam Mop. We have just moved into our new dream house and it has lots of wooden floor boards and tiles so this would be fantastic. Being an established home I would love to give it all a good clean from top to bottom.

I would definitely choose the Hoover Ultralight 18v lithium Stickvac! Throw one over this way please, Godfreys! Well, maybe don’t throw it even if it is super light! I’ll definitely need one soon as I’ll have baby #2 to add to the mess that kid #1 creates (hello tornado kid!) and having an easy, cordless, light vacuum will help baby #2 not eat whatever kid #1 spills on the ground. While it’d be amazing to have a dog to take care of crumbs and things, I realise training a dog could be a slight disaster and so a Hoover StickVac would be amazing!

  33. Amie Falls
    / 8:54 pm

The DOCTORS CHOICE AIR HUMIDIFIER just in-time for Winter and the parched effects indoor heating can have on the skin and asthma sufferers like my kids. It’s also jam-packed with extras like built-in night light and an auto shut-down feature for safety

With Wertheim’s thorough Deep Clean Carpet Shampooer, Sauber’s Intelligence Vacuum Cleaner, with it’s powerful Powerhead cleaning carpets deeper and superior filtration for easier breathing, plus a free Vorwerk Window Cleaner, I’d be set for some serious cleaning – or maybe “I’m dreaming!?”

  37. Bonnie

I really like the look of the Wertheim W3700 Quick Clean Hard Floor Cleaner! We actually just purchased a cordless Hoover Air Stick Pro from Godfreys and absolutely love it, so easy to use! But need a better solution than a cheap mop for the tiles…

Last week, my 3 year old accidentally pooped all over the carpet in his room. Whist he went to get me, my 1 year old found it, and for reasons only higher powers understand, played in it, with it, on it. He smooshed it in places I’d thought impossible. I have never needed a product like this, plus the WERTHEIM W3700 QUICK CLEAN HARD FLOOR CLEANER more in my life as a parent to date. I dearly hope to win this comp so I can finally clean those lingering stains out and begin to recover from my horrific ordeal.

This week our cat died and our stick vacuum cleaner died.. I can rescue a cat and I will… However, I also need a new vaccum cleaner. The Hoover Dog & Cat vac on special in the Easter Sale at $99 is looking really good! Rest in peace my beautiful Khan cat and my brilliant Dyson vac….

I’d go for the Hoover Dog & cat vacuum – i’m sick of the little tumbleweed furballs rolling across our wooden floors!

  49. Michelle Ward

I also love the Hoover Lithium Cordless Vacuum Cleaner as it is perfect for the caravan/annex that we frequent for holidays. It could nicely fit behind the door and its’ stand up state makes it perfect for storage. The one we currently have doesn’t suck properly and I end up using one of those old fashioned carpet sweepers which does a much better job!

The Optim Plus Steam Window cleaner. Im going to need it to clean our sticky windows courtesy of you lil lady who loves finger painting on the windows. That way we will have lovely clean floors and windows that to the team at Godfreys and Wertheim!

  56. Tara White
    / 7:12 am

I would choose Godfrey’s “Hoover Dog & Cat Turbo Bagless Vacuum”, so my dogs can vacuum the floor for me after the mess they always make with their hair ????. The kids could help too, as most of the hair malt is from the kids ‘playing’ with the dogs and exciting them. After I use my current vacuum I still see hair embedded in the fibres and have recently contemplated attacking it with a squeegee (apparently this works!) so I would buy myself this as an early anniversary present (for my husband ????). Thank you for the opportunity.

The VORWERK KOBOLD VR200 ROBOT VACUUM because I’d like to turn vacuuming into a joy instead of a back breaker giving me more quality time to spend with family and friends! Also because I feel like I promised to “Love, Honour and Vacuum.” I feel more like a maid than a wife and really need some help.

Hoover Lithium Cordless Package Deal. Love it’s cordless, when it comes to house keeping the less things holding me back the better and more likely I am to clean. I am interested in the Steam Mops also but would probably need to assess which ones do rough surfaced indoor tiles well when I visit.

Its a shame that following your review on the above Wertheim SE 2000 that the link to purchase one is now no longer working. Maybe they have sold out! It makes it even more important that I have entered to win one in your comp here. Very interested.

I so need the Vorwerk Kobold VR200 robot vacuum cleaner now that bub is crawling, eating and leaving a trial that would put Hansel & Gretel to shame. I would LOVE a cordless vac!! So the Electrolux Ergorapido 14.4V Stickvac fits the bill- figuratively and financially! I do find it a pain in the behind to traipse the cord around the house, and my Mr 2 is obsessed with “helping” which makes the job twice as long!

  72. Ryan H

I would definitely buy the Hoover Heritage 5630 Steam Mop! I need that in my life, my home and my kitchen. I’m constantly on my hands and knees scrubbing the floor because no mop I’ve ever had has worked well but I’ve heard wonderful things about the Hoover Heritage Steam Mop.

  115. Rebecca
    / 8:05 pm

Definitely the heritage steam mop. I’m a little clean obsessed and mop my floors every day, however using a regular mop, even with really hot water, just doesn’t give you the same level of clean that a steam mop does. It’s like taking a hot shower – you always feel better after a hot one – I’m sure my floors feel better after a steam mop!

I’d choose the Hoover Heritage Steam Mop. I have a 6 month old kitten with Cerebellar Hypoplasia (feline equivalent of Cerebral Palsy). Her back legs don’t work too well and she often misses the litter tray. Especially so in the last 5 weeks since breaking her front leg. Would love a steam mop to thoroughly clean and sterilize my floors and neutralize odorus. The Wertheim Deep Clean Carpet Shampooer would be the perfect help for little accidents on the carpet too.

Hoover Allergy Powerhead Bagless from Godfreys Easter Sale would be divine

Definitely the Hoover Allergy Powerhead Bagless Vacuum. Hubby is always complaining about his allergies, the excessive pet hair in the carpet and how our newborn doesn’t sleep. I’ll tell hubby that studies have shown that babies sleep better with white noise e.g the sound of a vacuum cleaner cleaning the floor but I can’t vacuum because I’m putting baby to sleep wink wink. Problem solved
