Whirlpool Crisp n Grill Microwave Review
The kitchen in our new house is sooo super old and needs upgrading when we can afford it. Everything in it is old and dated and the appliances particularly have seen better days. Actually, better decades!
When I’m making a quick lunch or snack for the kids, it take ages for our oven to heat up and we all know how impatient hungry toddlers are.
The Whirlpool Crisp n Grill Microwave is perfect for times like this – and that’s what we’ve been testing it for. One quick lunch both of my kids love is homemade pizzas. One of our friends showed us how quickly she makes these for her kids and they’ve been a hit in our house ever since too.
I’d read other Whirlpool Crisp n Grill Microwave reviews and knew others made pizza in theirs too!
We make them together and the kids learn about what they’re eating and how to make it at the same time. It’s fun and isn’t even too messy!
I look after the chopping and the kids arrange their pizza toppings.
About the Whirlpool Crisp n Grill Microwave
Whirlpool stands for making it simpler for families to cook and prepare healthy meals. The Whirlpool Gusto Series Crisp N’ Grill 25L Microwave has many program features including Microwave, Grill, Crisp, Jet Defrost, Jet Start, Magic Clean, Steam Menu and Steamer Accessory kit. That means that many of our family favourites can be prepared by using it, as well as our quick pizzas.
The Wire Rack or microwave Crisp Plate are perfect for cooking our pizzas as they keep the crisp instead of being soggy. Much easier for tiny hands to hold when they’re eating.
Quick and Easy Homemade Pizza Recipe
To make our pizzas, we use:
- Wholemeal Tortillas or Pittas
- Tomato Paste, Pizza Sauce or Passata – whatever is in the cupboard!
- Shredded Mozzarella or Cheddar Cheese
- A Variety of Toppings such as ham, pineapple, capsicum, mushrooms, red onion, olives, chicken etc
- Spread tomato paste/passata on top of your chosen pizza base.
- Arrange toppings and sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
- Pop in the Whirlpool Crisp n Grill Microwave
- Select Crisp and, depending on the thickness of your base, between 4-6 minutes.
These pizzas below, on wholemeal tortillas, took just five minutes to make and five minutes to cook to perfection!
Note: When using the Whirlpool convection oven, always make sure there is nothing on top of it, blocking the vents.
We’ve loved doing this Whirlpool Crisp and Grill Microwave review and using it for quick family meals and snacks. It’s the best microwave oven we have tried so far. Actually so far it’s the best microwave brand we’ve tried too. As much as I desperately want to update our kitchen, this is certainly helping making cooking in it more bearable!
