Yumbox Lunch Boxes from Biome + Giveaway!
We’ve been focusing recently on ensuring the meals we make for the kids are healthy and nutritious and part of that is an overhaul of the lunches they take to daycare. I researched online and came across the Yumbox Lunch Boxes at Biome, a fabulous store offering products that help you live a waste-free, toxin free and ethical life. These three factors are so high on my agenda, especially after my breast cancer diagnosis.
I’ve seen a few of the other kids using bento box style lunchboxes and loved how quirky they looked. They’re such a lovely way of making lunchtime fun for little ones.
We’ve been looking for the perfect lunch boxes for the kids for a while now and I was so inspired when I read my friend Kylie’s Yumbox Lunch Boxes review post. Kylie blogs at Kidgredients which is all about kids food and lunch box ideas – go check her out if you don’t already as it’s such an inspiring site!
Yumbox Lunch Boxes really are the ultimate kid friendly bento style lunch box.
They have separate compartments for each food group which is helping me give them a balanced meal. The key food groups are fruit, vegetables, grains, protein and dairy. There’s even a little extra section for a treat or dip.
These boxes are also perfect for road trips as well as daycare. The interior box is easily removed which makes cleaning the boxes very easy to do. They’re 100% BPA free, Phthalates-free, CPSIA and FDA compliant.
They measure at 21.5 cm x 15 cm x 5 cm and weigh 600g.
Using the Yumbox Lunch Boxes is really helping me get the portion sizes right for each of my kids and we’re really trying to waste less food but still give them a balanced meal.
Here’s an example of what I’ve been sending them to daycare with:
My kids are loving using these lunch boxes and my 3 year old daughter particularly feels very grown up using hers! I’ve also started putting sultanas into the little middle section as a sweet treat.
Do let me know if you’d like me to post more ideas on lunches for kids.
I love Biome‘s commitment to sourcing products that meet their environmental and ethical criteria which is so aligned with my own mission. They have helped me make easy choices when it comes to purchases for the family as they’ve done the research for me and I trust them.
You can visit Biome online or at one of their stores in Queensland. So you can shop their huge range 24 hours!
